LG to Unveil Two New Google TVs at CES

LG will unveil two new Google TV models as this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The company confirmed the news in a recent press release.

LG will showcase its GA7900 and GA6400 for the first time. The two sets are expected to deliver an "outstandingly intuitive user experience" and will come in various sizes to suit the needs of customers.

Google's latest TV platform and LG's redesigned Magic Remote Qwerty will be used together to enhance to efficiency of the Voice Search and the PrimeTime quick guide. Smart Home will be updated and is expected to bring a more efficient user experience and streamlined access to VoD, YouTube and other applications.

LG will also employ its new Cinema Screen to give the user a more sleek and modern finish on their model.

"LG is commited to providing diverse home entertainment options that offer the most satisfying user experience and the latest LG Smart TVs with Google TV do just that," said Havis Kwon, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company.

"They deliver a stellar user experience by merging the latest Google TV platform with LG's proven Smart TV technology. The result is a comprehensive system that is groundbreaking in its simplicity," he continued.

The new TVs will also feature a dual core CPU that enables easy menu navigation, fast internet browsing and video streaming. The beefed up processor also allows for the set's TruPicture XD Engine to process images quickly and precisely. This gives the user richer colors, deeper contrast, and a better picture quality overall.

Gamers will also benefit from these new LG TVs as they will offer OnLive?. The App will be pre-installed and transforms the set into a gaming platform with having to attach a console. Games can be accessed for the TV through a cloud.
