LG Unveils Optimus F5 and Optimus F7
LG recently unveiled two new LTE smartphones at this year's Mobile World Congress with the Optimus F5 and Optimus F7.
"LG continues to lead the industry with 4G LTE innovation and the Optimus F Series, a well-balanced and well equipped 4G LTE smartphone for the mass market, embodies the best of our broad LTE patent portfolio and innovative UX features," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Comminications in a press release.
"With the adoption of LTE expected to explode in 2013, we are sending a clear message to consumers with the Optimus F Series that LTE isn't just for heavy content users and techies anymore. It's for everyone," he added.
The Optimus F5 will feature some impressive specs including Android 4.1.2, JellyBean, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3-inch IPS display, 1GB RAM, a 5-megapixel camera, and a 2,150mAh battery.
The Optimus F7 specs include Android 4.1.2, JellyBean, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display, 2GB RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 2,540mAh battery.
LG also recently unveiled the Optimus G Pro which will be released in the second quarter of 2013 for customers in North America and will launch next week in Korea.
The official specifications for this higher-end LG handset include a 1080p 5.5-inch display, a quad-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, Android 4.1, JellyBean, and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The display boasts a 1920 x 1080 pixels and 400 ppi.
The device also features a few new software tweaks that include a dual record that uses both cameras simultaneously and VR Panorama that appears to be similar to Google's Photo Sphere.
LG is expected to show off the Optimus Pro G at Mobile World Congress.
