LG X Power 2 Release Date, News, Update: Device Sports 5.5-Inch Display, Runs on Android 7 Nougat
South Korean phone maker LG is set to unveil the new LG X Power 2 at the 2017 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, alongside the announcement of its upcoming G6 flagship device.
A follow-up to the X Power that was released in 2016, the LG X Power 2 is said to sport a non-removable, high-capacity battery, with 4,500 mAh. It also boasts of a 5.5-inch 720p display, one that is larger than its predecessor.
LG also claims that the new device can play up to 15 hours of continuous video and can operate for an entire weekend without the need to recharge. Its battery, which features quick charging technology, also lets phone users surf the web for up to 18 hours straight and provide navigational directions for 14 hours.
Because of its quick charging technology, the LG X Power 2 can also be fully charged in two hours at most.
The upcoming phone sports a 5.5-inch display and is packed with high-end specs, including a 1.5 GHz eight-core processor, 2 GB or 1.5 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal memory that can be expanded to up to 2 TB. It also features a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It weighs around 5.78 ounces or 164 grams.
Other features of the LG X Power 2 include its LTE connectivity. It runs on the Android 7 Nougat and comes in different color variants like black, blue, titanium and gold. The handset measures 154. 7 x 78. 1 x 8. 4 mm.
While the phone does not seem as promising as the G6, its features make it a fine option for users who want a reliable yet affordable device. As of now, LG has not yet revealed the pricing details of the upcoming handset but it is expected to be released in Latin America starting March.
