LG Zero Specs: 5-Inch Device Includes Android 5.1 Lollipop, 1.5 GB of RAM

LG launched on Tuesday their flagship smartphone dubbed as the Zero. According to BGR, the South Korean tech giant will begin the rollout of the device in Taiwan, after which it will be rolled out to selected markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Unfortunately, it will not be coming to U.S. countries.

The LG Zero is said to be the global version of the LG Class which came out in South Korea in September. With a full-metal body design that gives a premium look, the smartphone is said to give a "more advanced and modern experience," according to PCMag Asia. But the flagship isn't exactly what it is. Pocket-Lint detailed that the LG Zero is not classified as a high-end smartphone. Instead, it is a mid-range device developed with impressive specs and features.

The same PCMag Asia report noted that the latest flagship smartphone of LG is made particularly for budget-conscious shoppers who do not want to shell out a big amount of money just to get a decent smartphone.

"At LG, we do not believe in limiting our best technology to just our flagship devices," said LG Mobile president and CEO Juno Cho, as stated in the Pocket-Lint report.

The LG Zero has a 5-inch HD in-cell touch display offering a 1280 x 720 resolution at 294ppi. It runs with a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU. It also comes with 1.5 GB LPDDR3 RAM along with 16 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded further with the use of the microSD card.

As for its camera specs, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. It also features FM Radio, a 1W loudspeaker and a 2,050mAh battery.

The device also comes with a special Arc Glass design on the edges which is the one that gives it a slimmer overall appearance. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.1. The pre-installed operating system is Android 5.1 Lollipop. Interested consumers can choose between silver and gold.
