Liam Hemsworth Denies Dating Eiza Gonzalez; 'Happy' for Miley Cyrus' Success (VIDEO)
Liam Hemsworth recently denied reports claiming he is dating Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez, insisting that he is single.
The "Hunger Games actor, 23, was photographed kissing Gonzalez, 23, in September just days after confirming his split from singer Miley Cyrus, 20. While reports claimed he had moved on with Gonzalez, the actor revealed that he is not romantically involved with anyone at this time.
"I don't have a lady at the moment," Hemsworth told Extra.
In August Cyrus, who got engaged to Hemsworth in 2012, made headlines over her lewd MTV VMAs performance. Reports claimed the former Disney star's racy new image added strain to her already fragile relationship and the pair eventually parted ways within weeks.
Reports claimed Cyrus, who began dating the Australian actor in 2009, was initially devastated over the split however the pair has since moved on. Hemsworth alluded to him and Cyrus being on good terms despite their broken engagement.
"I'm extremely happy for all of her success," he said.
In a bid to continue moving forward with her life, Cyrus recently told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she wants fans to focus on her music and not her personal life.
"I think people spend more time actually thinking about it than I really do. I just believe when a chapter is done, you have to close it and start that new one. That's kind of where I am right now," Cyrus told DeGeneres about her split from Hemsworth according to People.com.
"I felt like people have really focused on my music right now when I've needed them to … that's the only thing I worried about," she continued. "I didn't want it to make me sacrifice what I've been working for, for just the attention to be on [my breakup]."
In February Cyrus and Hemsworth were rocked with cheating rumors after it was claimed that the actor had been caught with actress January Jones, 35. While the rumors were never publicly addressed, the "Wrecking Ball" singer was photographed without her engagement ring on various occasions shortly after the rumors surfaced, which immediately raised doubts about her engagement.
Despite her heartache, Cyrus insisted that she is happy and focused on work following her split from the Australian actor.
"I want to be really clear and determined with everything I'm doing in my life right now ... I am genuinely happy, finally with myself," she said.
"I think it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are," she explained.
