'Life is Strange: Before the Storm' Episode 2 Release Date, News: 'Brave New World' Rolls Out on Oct. 19
"Life is Strange: Before the Storm" is on a roll, and the game is coming out with its second episode after its successful debut launch back in August. The new installment, called "Brave New World," comes out on Thursday, Oct. 19, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC.
"Brave New World" is the middle part of the three-episode prequel to "Life is Strange," an acclaimed game that focused on Max Caulfield and her strange powers. This time around, it's Max's best friend Chloe Price who takes on the main role as players explore her developing bond with her best friend Rachel, as GameSpot recaps.
A new trailer is also out, and it follows Chloe as she becomes detached from home and life in general, as the rebellious teen becomes increasingly disappointed with her mother's budding relationship with David.
At one point, Chloe resigns herself to living in a dump of a junkyard, when a new job is offered to her. "Brave New World" looks to fill in the missing pieces regarding Rachel and Frank, as well, and is set around the time that Chloe was expelled from Blackwell high, as Max finds her later in the story of the first game.
"As Chloe and Rachel's family life continues to crumble, their friendship blossoms and the two girls discuss running away together," Square Enix said in the game's summary, as quoted by Eurogamer.
"But before they can go, Chloe gets involved with an errand for Frank Bowers which puts her in a dangerous situation and exposes an uglier side to Arcadia Bay," the synopsis added, setting into motion the events that lead to the tragedy Chloe must deal with in "Life is Strange."
The video below shows a teaser for the second episode of "Life is Strange: Before the Storm," the prequel to the award-winning first game. "Brave New World" comes out on Thursday for PCs and consoles. Upcoming episodes can be pre-ordered with a purchase of the complete season via the game's official website.
