Lil Wayne and Birdman's Daughters Collaborate as Young Authors in 'Paparazzi Princesses'
The two teenage daughters of famous rappers Lil Wayne and Birdman, respectively, have combined forces and teamed up to write and release a new book for young adult readers called "Paparazzi Princesses."
Reginae Carter, daughter of Lil' Wayne, is just 14 years old. Her writing partner Bria Williams, daughter of Bryan "Birdman" Williams, is slightly older at 16.
The book will be marketed to teens, and tells the story of growing up in the spotlight with famous parents.
"It's about the ups and downs of having celebrity parents. It's about how we go through everyday drama like everybody else," Reginae Carter told Entertainment Weekly.
Bria Williams went on to describe some of the "everyday drama" she goes through despite the status of her famous father.
"I had my phone taken away because I was talking on it too much," Williams said, explaining how her life isn't that different from the average teen. Carter chimed in to say she had the exact same experience.
Though the book is clearly influenced by the two teen's lives, the story they tell is not pure biography. Rather the story follows two fictional characters, Kayla Jones and Promise Walker, whose fathers are famous in the music industry.
Lil Wayne commented on the accomplishments of his young daughter and her friend.
"I've got to be honest. It's inspiring to see what these girls have done. It wasn't easy, and they did it all by themselves. 'Proud' doesn't even begin to describe how me and the 'Birdman' feel. I can't wait for everybody else to experience their story," the 30-year-old rapper told TheyBF.com.
