Lil Wayne Scolded by Judge for 'Irresponsible Behavior'
Rapper Lil Wayne was reportedly scolded by the judge overseeing his lawsuit against Quincy Jones III. The artist has not been able to appear in court due to medical situations and instead will be present via his video depositions. Unfortunately, that could lead to more problems for Lil Wayne, whose childlike behavior has been criticized by the judge.
Those depositions "show Wayne acting like a child, giving glib one liners and refusing to answer questions," TMZ reported. "The tapes are hilarious, but the judge wasn't laughing today, chastising Wayne for displaying 'unreasonable conduct in the deposition' and 'irresponsible behavior.'"
Wayne brought the suit against Jones, alleging that he used the song "dontgetit" in the documentary "The Carter" without permission. According to TMZ, "Lil Wayne claims Quincy III and the other producers never bothered to ask if they could use his tunes."

The trial, however, has been a bit of a circus, after Wayne missed his court date due to allegedly suffering from seizures. As it turned out, Wayne actually suffered from "a severe migraine and dehydration," TMZ reported. He has been recovering at his mother's home ever since.
"Lil Wayne was successfully released from the hospital after being treated for a severe migraine and dehydration," his representative told New York Daily News. "He is at home on doctor-mandated rest and will return to work soon. He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love."
His absence from the trial put it at great risk. Because it is a jury trial, Wayne's team had to make the decision whether to proceed without Wayne or have it declared a mistrial. The news that his deposition tapes will be played for the jury shows a determination to continue on.
Wayne's absence may not help his case at all, though, especially given the judge's recent comments.
