'Limitless' Season 2 News and Updates: Is There Still Hope for the Show? Bradley Cooper Lobbies Season 2 to FX
For weeks now, fans of "Limitless" have long been saddened by the news of the show's cancellation. However, it looks like Bradley Cooper is once again stepping in to save their beloved series.
Is There Still Hope?
The supposedly Season 2 of "Limitless" had long been confirmed to be cancelled. This was confirmed by showrunner Craig Sweeney for a couple of times already. However, some fans with unwavering support for the show are still hoping for some good news.
There have already been multiple reports of Sweeney dishing out second season of "Limitless" to different networks after it was cancelled by CBS. He is almost always accompanied by executive producer and occasional actor in the series Bradley Cooper.
Talks with strong candidates such as The CW, Netflix, and others have reportedly failed. There was even an ongoing issue regarding the storyline of "Limitless" being too complicated to be picked up by Netflix. Until now, the final statement of everyone involved in the show is that "Limitless" Season 2 is not happening.
With this, Cooper has been busy lately with his own projects, especially the one which stars Lady Gaga. However, in light of recent events wherein Sweeney had failed to keep the show afloat on his own, Cooper had finally decided to step in once again to try and keep "Limitless" Season 2 on air.
Cooper Steps In
Despite all the network agreement failures, the future might be looking bright for "Limitless" Season 2 after all. There have been reports saying FX is interested in picking up the show. FX is the same cable network that is home to various success shows such as "American Horror Story" and "Archer."
The sudden change of tides for "Limitless" Season 2 was largely attributed to no other than Bradley Cooper. It was reported that the executive producer had been lobbying the show to FX really hard for them to buy it. He is also said to be very confident with the way FX will be handling the show, as he is quite impressed himself with how the network handles its shows.
However, due to his commitments to other projects, Cooper would not be as hands on with "Limitless" Season 2 as he previously was. This is the reason why he was looking for a network that he could fully trust not to mess with the potential and established elements of "Limitless" Season 2.
As of yet, there have been no networks or streaming services that have fully committed to air "Limitless" Season 2. Due to this good news though, fans are expected to support the show more to push FX in fully reviving "Limitless" Season 2.
