Linda Hogan and Fiancé Split After 'Couple's Therapy' Show

Linda Hogan and Charley Hill of "Couple's Therapy"have parted ways after nearly four years together, it has been confirmed.

"There was a lot of therapy involved, and the couple realized they needed to do their own thing. The realization came this weekend. But it was a mutual decision, and a whole new chapter for both of them," Linda's attorney Raymond Rafool told FOX411's Pop Tarts column.

The pair, who received much criticism for having a 29-year age gap, appeared on the Vh1 reality TV show with other celebrity couples to salvage their troubled relationship.

Despite staying together longer than some critics had anticipated, the couple, who were engaged for over two years, decided that marriage was not for them, and 52-year-old Hogan recently addressed her split from Hill, 23, on Facebook.

"Ok... My status has changed. I am now single. After the great therapy we had together and time to think and concentrate on who we are and who we want to be, Charley and I decided that we should each travel through life in different directions," Hogan wrote.

"But, thank you all for always being so supportive of our relationship and choices. I hope that you all understand and are not be too terribly disappointed. Love you!" she added.

Linda, who is the ex-wife of wrestler Hulk Hogan, sparked controversy in 2008 when she began dating a then 19-year-old Hill, a school acquaintance of her daughter Brooke Hogan, because she was 48 at the time.

Hill once attempted to get a restraining order against Hulk back in 2008 claiming that he feared that Hogan's ex-husband would "attempt to injure or kill him" following an alleged tailgating incident that had taken place.

A Florida judge denied Hill's request, according to TMZ.com.
