Lindsay Lohan Arrives at Morgue Late - Turned Away
Just one day after actress Lindsay Lohan had her probation revoked and she posted $100,000 bail, she has missed her first day of community service at the L.A. County Morgue today.
Lohan's publicist released a statement saying, "Lindsay arrived at the morgue approximately 20 minutes late and will be returning for orientation tomorrow. Her lateness was due to a combination of not knowing what entrance to go through and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival. Lindsay spoke with the supervisors at the morgue. They showed her how to get in and everything is all cleared up."
Upon Lohan showing up, she was turned away from the morgue for being late.
The actress was supposed to be at the morgue at 8:00 a.m. PT, and at 7:40 a.m. PT her publicist called to say she'd be there in 10 minutes.
When Lohan never showed, the volunteer officials notified judge Stephanie Sautner of her tardiness.
Lohan recently took to her Twitter saying, "With all of the stress and pressure from yesterday and today, I've never been so happy to go to therapy!!! Also, I'm sorry for the confusion that I may of (sic) caused to those at the Coroner's office. Won't happen again, now I know where to go!"
She was ordered to serve 16 hours at the morgue by Nov. 2, and it is not necessarily a violation to not show up today, but will not look good in front of the judge.
However, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter believed Lohan's excuse was fake. He said in an address to the press that she had been there before and they had given her step-by-step instructions on where to go.
Lohan rose to prominence in the late 90s with her role in "Parent Trap" as she became the hottest young actress. Over the last couple of years her movie roles have diminished due to her legal and criminal troubles.
Her last released film was last years "Machete."
