Lindsay Lohan Tattoo of Billy Joel's 'Go to Extremes' Song
Lindsay Lohan has added another tattoo of Billy Joel’s “Go To Extremes” lyrics to her body.
This week in Los Angeles, Lohan, who already has six other tattoos, visited Shamrock Tattoos, her preferred parlor.
“Clear as crystal, sharp as knife, I feel like I’m in the prime of my life,” reads Lohan’s newest ink. The tattoo is located on her right ribcage, TMZ reported.
The song is off of Joel’s album, “Storm Front” from 1989, that also includes the famous ballad “WeDidn’t Start the Fire.”
The actress has been involved in legal scandals all year, and has reportedly been trying to sober up and get her Hollywood career back on track.
“It represented where she is in life and everything she’s been through,” said a source close to the troubles actress while speaking to TMZ. “It signifies that she’s focused.”
Billy Joel and Lohan are both from New York. Joel, 62, grew up in the Bronx, while Lohan is from Long Island.
Lohan has been a longtime fan of the singer. On her Twitter account in May 2010 following the death of her uncle, Lohan posted, “Did Billy Joel curse us when he said, ‘Only the GOOD die young’?”
The 25-year-old star also has a Marilyn Monroe quote in her left wrist, which reads: “Everyone’s a star and deserves the right to twinkle,” and is surrounded by yellow, blue, and green stars.
In addition, Lohan has the word “shhh…” tattooed on the side of her index finger, a small star on her wrist, a heart on her hand, the word “breathe” tattooed on her wrist, and “la bella vita” inked on her lower back.
In 2007, Lohan was charged with driving under the influence on two different occasions, which resulted in three visits to rehabilitation centers. The incidents cost her several movie deals.
Lohan is scheduled to appear in the upcoming movie, “Gotti: Three Generations” opposite of John Travolta. The movie takes place in New York City where she will play the wife of mobster John Gotti Jr. Filming is set to begin this fall.
