Lindsay Lohan Taxes: Actress Owes Over $56,000, But is Worth Only $10,000
Lindsay Lohan was hit by the IRS with over three tax liens in the past four years, the most recent of which amounts to over $56,000.
A tax lien resulting from unpaid taxes for 2011 was filed on Thursday in the amount of $56,717.90, according to TMZ. It is the actress' third consecutive tax lien in less than four years. In 2009, the star was charged a sum of $93,701.57 and in 2010, a second charge for $140,203.30.
Charlie Sheen allegedly came to a friend's aid for the first tax bill, but it now appears that the actress is "broke." The star is worth $10,000, according to celebritynetworth.com. Last week, Lohan made headlines after trying to return a dress that had been destroyed.

In addition to a lack of funds, the star is also still struggling to keep her legal issues at bay. At current, lawyers for the actress are attempting to have a case dropped against the actress after she allegedly lied to cops about her involvement in a car accident.
Lohan has made several attempts to avoid or postpone the trial and her newest lawyer, Mark Heller, has argued that the case should be thrown out altogether.
"Lindsay's new mouthpiece, Mark Heller, wants to have the case thrown out on grounds she was not Mirandized," TMZ reported. However, according to law enforcement sources, "Lindsay's entertainment lawyer was present the entire interview."
When Lohan was questioned after the accident, she told police that she was not the one behind the wheel. Later reports confirmed that Lohan was the driver.
Heller argues that Lohan was advised by police to not leave or "it would be worse." The report suggests that her then-lawyer Shawn Holley did not arrive until after Lohan had been questioned and submitted to a sobriety test under suspicion of a DUI.
