Lindsey Vonn Injured While Training

Lindsey Vonn suffered another ski crash while training in Colorado on Tuesday and will undergo an MRI on her knee.

The Olympic downhill champion is still recovering from two torn ligaments in her right knee following a violent crash in February at the world championships in Schladming.

Following reconstructive surgery and rehab, Vonn was training at Copper Mountain when she suffered the second crash, 10 days before she was to compete again.

The extent of the injury is unclear and it is unknown whether this is the same knee injured back in February, according to Ski Racing magazine.

Nevertheless, the four-time overall champ was taken off the mountain on a sled and limped away from the finish area with help from coaches.

A U.S. Ski Team representative confirmed Vonn's crash, but did not clarify her injuries.

"We have no reason to believe it's anything significant right now," said Tom Kelly, according to the Associated Press.

Then, Vonn's public relations manager said the skier had returned to her home in Vail and was awaiting to be examined by Dr. Bill Sterett, the same doctor who repaired her knee in February.

"We expect to have clarity on the site in the next 24 hours," said Lewis Kay, Vonn's PR rep, according to AP.

Vonn, who is dating golfer Tiger Woods, was supposed to return to racing with the World Cup in Beaver Creek, Colo. next week. The skiing pro also had goals to compete in February's Sochi Olympics.

However, Vonn admitted on Facebook last month that her right knee has not healed enough to hit the slopes for the Soelden race.

"My training camp in Soelden went very well and I made great progress, but I feel that I need more training before I start racing again," she explained. "The Soelden race is not in the cards this year."

The World Cup event in Beaver Creek begins on Nov. 29th, and before her latest accident, Vonn had every intention of being there.

"Patience is not my strong suit so not racing is very hard for me but it will only make me more excited for the next one," she wrote on Facebook. "I will go home to Vail and continue my preparation for the Beaver Creek races and my ultimate goal in February! Thanks for the support everyone."
