Lindsey Vonn: Surprise Drug Tested From the Red Carpet
Lindsey Vonn was forced undergo a random drug testing while wearing a gown at the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards on Monday night.
It is commonplace for professional athletes to be selected for random drug testing in order to prevent the illegal use of performance-enhancing drugs, and Vonn is no exception.
On Monday, the Olympic skier was escorted from the New York City fashion event's red carpet to the restroom by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, according to ABC News.

There, Vonn submitted a urine sample to the USADA before it was sent to a lab for testing. The results were not immediately available.
Despite the surprise testing while wearing a white Cynthia Rowley gown, Vonn was unfazed.
"She understands it is part of the job," said the star athlete's spokesperson, Lewis Kay, speaking to the Associated Press.
Furthermore, the USADA said that Vonn has subjected herself to random testing for the past 12 years, according to Yahoo Sports News.
"We appreciate her professionalism and for accommodating this process, which at times can be inconvenient," said USADA spokesperson Annie Skinner.
Also among those strolling the red carpet at the Council of Fashion Designers of America were Hillary Rodham Clinton, Jessica Chastain and Ralph Lauren.
Meanwhile, Vonn has recently opened up about her relationship with pro golfer Tiger Woods.
"We're very similar," said the skier, according to People magazine. "We're both at the top of our sports, and we relate really well to each other."
The couple first went public with their romance via Facebook earlier this year after having been dating for "the last few months," said Woods.
"Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating," the world-renowned golfer posted. "We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes."
Taking to her own Facebook page with the dating news, Vonn added that she would not "plan on addressing this further as I would like to keep that part of my life between my family and close friends."
"Thank you for understanding and your continued support! Xo LV," she added.
