Lindsey Vonn, Tiger Woods Double Date With Elin Nordegren Despite Bitter Divorce
Tiger Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren are on the best possible terms following their acrimonious and public divorce three years ago.
In fact, the famed golf player and his new love, Lindsey Vonn, were photographed chatting amicably with Nordegren at his childrens' T-ball game over the weekend, with an onlooker reporting that they appeared "civil ... even friendly at times," according to TMZSports. Moreover, Woods and Vonn even double-date with Nordegren and her boyfriend, millionaire Chris Cline.
"They can be a happy foursome now that Elin has a guy even richer then Tiger," an insider told Us Weekly. "They've hung out at the Seminole Club [in Florida], they've hung out together with pther people."
Woods, 38, was married to Nordegren, 34, for six years until his numerous extra-marital affairs became public. The exes share two children together; daugher Sam, 6, and son Charlie, 5. Today, Woods is in a relationship with Vonn, an Olympic skier. Fortunately, it turns out that Vonn and Nordegren have become "close friends."
"After meeting her, she found she actually liked her," the source said of Nordegren. "You'd think it would be weird, but Elin loves Lindsey and they talk all the time. Elin likes that Lindsey is a strong woman."
Furthermore, Vonn, Nordegren, Woods and the children all went on a vacation together recently, leaving Nordegren with an even greater sense of kinship with Vonn.
"Lindsey is really good for Tiger," the source at Us Weekly explained. "She's strong, opinionated, and keeps him in line. Elin found that they are very similar and have a lot in common. They laugh and talk like they have been girlfriends forever."
Meanwhile, 29-year-old Vonn and Woods have been dating for over a year. The pair stay mostly mum about their relationship, but the champion skier recently revealed insight to her relationship while speaking to Self magazine.
"He's helped me stay patient through rehab," Vonn explained of her recovery following the knee injury and her golf-pro boyfriend. "Golf is all about patience, one tournament is four days long, 18 holes a day. He helped me take it one day at a time."
