Lisa Irwin Missing: Video From Surveillance Camera Shows Baby's Abductor?
Video from a surveillance camera might possibly show the abductor of 11-month-old Missouri girl Lisa Irwin, who disappeared on Oct. 4, CNN reports. Authorities investigating Irwin's case refuse to comment on the tape obtained by the news network.
Lisa has been missing for almost a month now, ever since her parents noticed her disappearance from their Kansas City home and notified the police.
A new development sparked hope in this seemingly deadlocked investigation when CNN obtained video material from a local gas station, shot on the night of the alleged abduction. The video might possibly show the little girl's kidnapper - an unidentified person walking along the road around 2:15 a.m. on Oct. 4., less than two miles away from Lisa's home.
The station manager, Anuj Arora, told CNN that it is unusual to see anyone walking on the road at that time of night.
The FBI and Kansas City police declined to comment on the video, citing the ongoing investigation, according to the network.
Meanwhile, Lisa’s parents attended a prayer vigil outside of their home on Sunday, organized by their friends and family. The parents wore t-shirts imprinted with Lisa's photo and cried while praying, CNN reported.
The parents of the missing baby have previously established an award for the person who helps Lisa return home or provides information about her whereabouts.
In one of many developments in the case, Deborah Bradley, Lisa's mother, stated that the police had accused her of being involved in her daughter's disappearance and told her that she had failed a lie detector test. According to The Associated Press, the couple said police have treated them like suspects.
"From the start when they've questioned me, once I couldn't fill in gaps, it turned into 'You did it, you did it,' " Bradley stated at the time.
In another recent development, a cadaver dog brought to the family's house spotted scent of human corpse in the parents' bedroom, but the outcome of that discovery is not yet known, as the investigation is ongoing.
