LisaRaye McCoy Talks God Blessing Her Celibacy

LisaRaye McCoy, the 45-year-old Christian actress, is speaking up about her choice to remain celibate in hopes of receiving a blessing from God.

McCoy admitted that she wants to experience mental intimacy with her next love interest.

"I'm in a new place. I've tried everything but celibacy, and I really want to know what it feels like to be touched by someone with a mental touch and not a physical touch," the actress told Cocoa Fab recently. "I want to know what it is to build the foundation of the friendship for real, to have my best friend and not because we're just intimate, but because we're mentally intimate. So I'm waiting for that person to come into my life."

She spoke about having faith in God blessing her for the stance that she is taking with men.

"And when I get myself together, I know God is gonna bless me with that, because I don't want to come with extra baggage," McCoy told Cocoa Fab. "I'll come with some, but it's not fair to him to come with a whole bunch."

The actress went through a public divorce with former chief minister of the Turks and Caicos, Michael Eugene Misick in 2008 after two years of marriage.

"As former first lady of the Turk's & Caico's Islands she has survived the heartache of divorce and has reestablished her life as an actress and single parent with the strength and endurance she has always shown," said McCoy's website.

Although McCoy's breakout role was as a dance in a gentlemen's club for the movie "Players Club," she insisted that she is looking for someone that appreciates more than her physical appearance.

"When men meet me, they're in awe of the image. I'm so turned off by that," she told Cocoa Fab. "So I want someone to know me, to learn me. I want to start dating the man that I'm gonna marry."
