'Little Couple' Star Jen Arnold in Remission After Chemotherapy

"The Little Couple" star Jen Arnold is pleased to announce that she is in remission after several weeks of intense chemotherapy. The mother of two and wife of Bill Klein shared the news with the public but is cautious about being too happy about the prognosis.

"I had my official last chemo treatment," Arnold told People magazine. "And while I'm hesitant to say I'm cancer-free – maybe that's common for people who have had cancer – I'm doing great. Everything is moving in the right direction. I am very excited."

Her news comes as a relief to those who know Arnold's story and have watched her struggle with dwarfism, infertility, and stage 3 cancer after a failed pregnancy. She and Bill have adopted two children, son William, 3, and daughter Zoey, 2. Zoey arrived just as Arnold was beginning treatment, making the diagnosis of cancer even more heart-breaking. Arnold was forced to leave the children at times in order to undergo treatment.

"It actually got harder as more time went on," she explained. "Some weeks were more difficult than others with different side effects. I had a lot of fatigue and nausea and some days it just felt like my hands and feet were very heavy."

Thankfully, Arnold's family and husband Bill were able to meet the children's needs and offer the necessary support so that Arnold could focus on her recovery. Arnold, a neonatologist, has not returned to work at Texas Children's Hospital but is spending time with her family and building up plenty of strength before making the big move.

"Sometimes I get a little winded when I walk around more and I have that fuzzy chemo brain at times, but I am very excited and happy to be where I am now," Arnold said. "I want to get stuff done. I am anxious to get back to my normal self."

"The Little Couple" airs on TLC.
