Little Girl Named Faith Love Killed by Halloween Drunk Driver
Faith Love, a 12-year-old Las Vegas girl, was killed by a drunk driver crossing the street while trick-or-treating on Halloween night.
Ironically, Nevada law enforcement agencies were scheduled to host a news conference on pedestrian safety late Wednesday.
Justin Caramanica, 41, was arrested on a felony drunken driving charge and is being held at the Clark County jail. A court hearing for Caramanica is schedule for Thursday morning.

By the time the Rocquell Love, the girl’s mother, arrived to the hospital Monday night, her daughter was dead.
Love told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the family’s original holiday plans included an evening with church friends but when her 6-year-old son got sick, Love made the last minute decision to send her daughter with a group of cousins under the care of an aunt.
Accident witness Aaron Francois was celebrating Halloween with his brother when he witnessed a 2009 Mazda RX-8 hit the girl.
The speed limit in the neighborhood is 25 mph, but Francois reported that the car seemed to be traveling at a much faster speed.
Francois told the Review-Journal he heard a young boy scream, "That’s my cousin that’s my cousin!"
According to the Review-Journal, Love does not blame her sister for her daughter’s death.
"She feels because she was with her, she should have been able to take care of her and protect her," Love told the Review-Journal.
The victim was a seventh grader who was dressed as a Native American princess. According to her mother, she loved reading and learning.
Halloween is the deadliest day of the year for pedestrians. In the span of a few days, Love is the second person to die a pedestrian-related death. High school freshman Luca Ruiz-Brenes was hit and killed while crossing a street to a friend’s home.
Sandy Heverly with Stop DUI told CBS News, "Here's a holiday specific to our children, they like to go out, they like to have fun, they're so many of them out in the neighborhoods and doing their trick-or-treating never thinking that they're going to lose their life because someone has chosen to drive under the influence."
