Live Showing of GMA Awards Offered at Regal Theaters
Christian music industry professionals and enthusiasts have been in Nashville, Tennessee, since April 24 but for fans who are unable to attend the annual GMA week convention can still for the first time watch the 35th Annual Music Awards, held at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium, live on April 28 via satellite at Regal Movie Theatres.
Tickets, which cost $10 each, can be purchased online at RegalCM.com, which uses the online ticket retailer Fandango.
The broadcasting will begin at 9 p.m. However, attendees at the actual event are expected to take their seats by 5:30 p.m. for the opening awards ceremony. The televised portion of the ceremony will begin at 8:00 p.m. A short break will occur between these two segments.
During the awards ceremony, formerly known as the Dove Awards, Christian artists will be honored with awards that are the Christian equivalent to a Grammy in the secular music industry. Deion Sanders, CBS Sports personality, and Yolanda Adams, popular gospel singer, will host the event.
The theater will also be provided with an official commemorative program to give to viewers. A highlight of watching the GMA Awards ceremony in the theater is the "all access pass" that allows viewers to see what happens back stage with host Rebecca St.
UPN will televise the music show a month later on May 28th at 8:00-10:00 p.m. EST/PST.
Fans can purchase tickets to watch the show live from a Regal Theater at a Host Theatre box office or by calling 1-800-792-8244.
