Lolo Jones 'Quarantined' for Illness at Sochi Olympics

Olympic Bobsledder Lolo Jones did not plan on spending her time in quarantine once she arrived at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Unfortunately, Jones did have to spend time away from her teammates but is now reportedly doing better and has been reunited with her fellow Olympians.

"Just released … been in quarantine room in Olympic village. Single room was nice just wish I had one of those stray dogs to keep me company," Jones tweeted. Then later, a teammate jokingly tweeted a picture with Jones standing quite far away in the background.

"Was released to find ur competitors #Tactics @AlexShibutani: Lolo has been sick so this is as close as I'll let her."

This is the first time Jones will be featured in the Winter Olympics as part of the U.S. bobsledding team. She previous competed as a hurdler in the summer Olympics but was injured and chose to pursue another option. There was some debate over her being chosen for the U.S. team, but Jones has made a name for herself as a bobsledder.

"Everything that happens has significance," Jones posted on Facebook earlier. "God works all things for his good and glory. God can turn a mistake to redirect you. He can use a hurdle blocking your path to put you on the right path. It is all part of His plan. It didn't make sense in '08 or '12 but who would have thought those mishaps would put me on the path to be a Winter Olympian?"

"I am honored and excited to say I am on the 2014 Winter Olympic Team," Jones added. "Thank you to all the fans who have encouraged me to never give up."

In addition to maintaining an online presence and following, Jones appeared on the latest season of "The Biggest Loser," which dealt with the theme of second chances. Jones wanted to share her own story with the contestants and tell them how important those second chances are in life.
