'Long Island Medium' Theresa Caputo Called Out by Hollywood, Continues on With Readings and Tour

"Long Island Medium" star Theresa Caputo is continuing on with her tour and performing readings for fans despite claims of fraud and an investigation into her practice. Caputo is hitting back against those who are speaking out against her by using social media and fans' praise. New claims by high-profile people are seemingly not getting the reality star down.

Howard Stern recently spoke about his intention to have Caputo on his Sirius XM show last year but said he was turned off by her demands, which included 45 minutes of alone time with the studio audience.

"We're not interested in leaving people alone with the Long Island psychic for 45 minutes," Stern explained. "She's never coming in here. It's never going to happen. The Long Island psychic is not a psychic."

CNN host Anderson Cooper actually had Caputo on his daytime talk show in 2012 but claims to have been unimpressed by her personality and performance.

"I'm pretty skeptical about this 'Long Island Medium' stuff," he told cameras after the show aired. "There's a lot you can say to a room of 300 people … Somebody here has ashes of a loved one, there's a pretty good chance somebody has a piece of jewelry with some ashes in it. People so want to believe in things, but I want to see actual proof."

A former person who appeared on Caputo's show and declined to be identified has also spoken out about her experience filming the show for TLC and how brisk and cold Caputo was to her, in addition to getting several "insights" wrong. She left feeling very unimpressed and "totally exhausted" by the experience.

"I think Theresa's a phony," she told Radar Online. "I don't think she really gives a [expletive] about the people she meets. It's all for the cameras."

Meanwhile, Caputo is not letting anyone's opinion get the better of her or prevent her from continuing to do what she feels she is gifted to do.

"I don't let negativity and negative people affect me and neither should any of you! Don't react, take a deep breath and let it go. Negative attracts negative and positive attracts positive … Love you guys! XOXO Theresa," she posted on Facebook.
