In only their first meeting of the season, the Chicago Bulls travel to the Staples Center to face the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association.

They are only slated to meet twice this season so this is the final time that Kobe Bryant will be around to host the Bulls in the league – making this battle between two of the more popular franchises in the league more important.

Bryant's former teammate Pau Gasol will be leading the charge for the Bulls against his previous team so the reunion between the two in Hollywood should be something to watch out for.
Gasol won championships with the Lakers alongside Bryant and though they are playing in different teams, their affection and respect for each other have not waned.
However, they are battling on the floor and trying to get the win despite the Lakers clearly struggling and the Bulls not on their best game at the moment.
Los Angeles are going through a very down phase in their history and will undergo major rebuilding in the summer – as they are linked to big-named players like Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
They have a young core that they can build on but at the moment, they are still far from the heights expected of the franchise.
Meanwhile, the Bulls were title contenders a few seasons ago but are now only considered as a playoff team. Their window is slowly closing and with injuries hampering the squad's line-up, they may be in for a long second half of the season.
However, this match-up should be interesting and it will not lack action in Hollywood as these two teams collide.
