Louisiana College Announces Former NOBTS Prof. as New Vice President

A former professor of Wisdom Literature and Hebrew at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary has been named Louisiana College’s new vice president for institutional advancement, according to an announcement made on Friday.

Dr. Rick Byargeon – who has been on faculty at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Oklahoma Baptist University – will be joining the Louisiana College community in January, according to LC President Dr. Joe Aguillard.

”Dr. Byargeon and his wife, Jonann, are both Louisiana College alumni who are devoted to LC and our Lord’s Kingdom work,” said Aguillard in a public announcement released on Dec. 2. “He is uniquely situated for this position, having headed a multi-million dollar fund-raising campaign and with great connections to our pastors, churches, and associations across the state.”
