'Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta' News: Benzino Retracts Pre-nup, Althea Wants to Own Hip Hop Weekly
The third season of "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" continues to be one of the highest-rated reality shows as cast members do all that they can to make it big in the South's hip hop industry.
The show dropped a lot of bombshells this week, starting with Benzino and his pre-nup with fiancée Althea. Kirk persuaded Benzino to have a pre-nup done when he and Rasheeda Frost learned that the pair plans to get married in two weeks. Rasheeda wondered what the rush was all about until she realized that she's not really the best judge of relationships.
Benzino wasn't quite sure how to broach the subject, but Kirk said that if Althea truly loved him, she would sign the pre-nup without questioning it. However, after seeing his lovely fiancée film her music video for "Ghetto Love" in a shimmering dress, he promptly retracted it.
"I trust you. [Expletive] a prenup," Kirk said.
Fans are hoping that he would rethink this, as it was revealed that Althea was counting Benzino's publishing checks and is after a share in his magazine.
On last Monday's show, she revealed this plan to Rasheeda while shopping for a wedding dress. Althea joked with Rasheeda that Kirk needs to stop pushing a pre-nup because she plans on owning part of "Hip Hop Weekly" one day. If Rasheeda didn't know that Althea was already making a good living, she would be worried that she was a "gold digger."
As the singer modeled wedding dresses, she was disappointed to learn that it takes four to six months to order a dress, which definitely won't work for a wedding that is ten days away.
"Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. on VH1.
