Love Never Wins When Truth Loses
God's love letter tells us clearly, "Love rejoices with the truth." (1 Cor. 13:6) The minute you discard the truth about heaven and hell as though it is a dirty rag, you have discarded real love and replaced it with sentiment and entered the devil's playground. "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons." (1 Timothy 4:1) Who do you suppose the demons look for as messengers of their doctrines? Satan worshippers? No. They look for religious leaders who are compromised. They look for religious leaders who have a chip on their shoulder and a bone to pick with the Word of God. They look for religious leaders who are charismatic in personality but lacking in biblical discernment. The deceiving spirits didn't have to look too far to find a doozy in Rob Bell.
As the title of his new book proclaims, Rob Bell believes that "Love Wins" as he redefines the biblical definition of God's wrath against sin. This is like saying that the "Cubs Win" simply because it feels in my heart like they are due to win the World Series. It's warm and fuzzy, but not true. It's pie-in-the-sky, but not reality. Everything we know about God and about eternity comes to us through His inspired and inerrant Word. Man's wishes and opinions and preferences are a dime a dozen.
Rob Bell's opinion about hell will cost you a lot more than a dime if you buy it from him. It could cost you whatever confidence you may have in the literal death and literal resurrection of Jesus Christ for sinners. Make no mistake about it - the moment you side with Rob's fantasy, you are siding against Scripture and you are in grave danger of abandoning any semblance of New Testament Christianity. You think it will stop there? No way.....that is only the beginning of your journey down Rob Bell's mystical "Lovers Lane."

Rob Bell says that love wins when we get rid of eternal punishment for sin. The minute you get rid of eternal punishment, you get rid of a literal interpretation the Bible. At that point, you are drifting away like a helium-filled balloon. You'll go higher and higher until your bubble bursts. I sure don't want to be there when Rob Bell "gets busted" and figures out who has been teaching him these new doctrines which he claims are so loving. I guess if the demons taught him about "hate" rather than "love," it wouldn't appeal to Rob Bell or to his followers. The angel of light casts a shadow of love that disappears the moment he is through with you.....and you are left alone, and scared, and knowing that you have been used and abused by one with far more intelligence than yourself. Jesus is the author of Truth. Satan is the author of lies. That is why love never wins when truth loses.
