Lupe Fiasco's Marxist Comments Causes Loss of Twitter Privileges

Outspoken rapper and entertainer Lupe Fiasco had his Twitter account taken over by his management team soon after getting into a Twitter debate over the role Marxism plays in a revolution.

The rapper tweeted Sunday a known Marxist theory as part of the #PhilosophySunday forum taking place on Twitter. The rapper was asking his followers to give their opinions on the idea that: "Actual Revolution which affects wholesale societal change is only seen via technological advancement."

After some back and forth Fiasco weighed in on the issue.

"A Marxist theory today: Actual revolution which affects wholesale societal change is only seen via technological advancement i.e. industrial," Fiasco wrote.

He then proceeded to retweet a number of intellectuals on Twitter before concluding: "Good stuff on Marx's theory of true societal revolution via technological advancement. Thanks for checking #PhilosophySunday."

Soon after the end of the forum Fiasco's management team revealed that they would be taking over his account while he focuses on his musical career.

"Hey guys #LF Mgmt here. Gotta love his lively way with twitter but sadly he's gonna be taking a break to focus on other things," the team wrote.

"The #LF twitter will stay active but will focus solely on giving you guys info on upcoming #LF events, music touring and media," the post added.

Fiasco made headlines in the beginning of this year after going into a politically charged tirade during one of President Obama's pre-inauguration parties.

The socially conscious lyricist took the opportunity to bash the President's foreign policy in a performance that accused the president of killing innocent children.

"Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist, Gaza strip was getting bombed, and Obama didn't say s---," he sang.

The party was hosted by start-up group Hypervocal and featured Fiasco as the headliner. Several party attendees shared photos and videos of the rapper being escorted from the stage by security guards.
