Mabel Pantaleon, 'Dexter' Actress, Found After 4-Day Disappearance
"Dexter" actress Mabel Pantaleon has been found in New York City after having gone missing earlier this week.
The 31-year-old actress was picked up by New York Port Authority Police Thursday evening when her name reportedly popped up on a police database while trying to buy a ticket.
"She was in [Port Authority's] custody on Thursday evening," Sgt. John Buthorn of the New York Police Department told ABC News. "She was in good condition, and there was nothing suspicious."
She was taken by authorities to the psychiatric emergency room at Jamaica Hospital.
Concern was high over the actress' whereabouts because she has manic-depressive disorder. Pantaleon went missing from her New York City home on Sunday.
Sylvia Pantaleon, the actress' mother, was overcome with relief as her daughter was recovered.
"Everything is over, thank God," said Pantaleon's mother speaking to ABC News Friday. "She's OK, and she is in the hospital. Thank God for everything … that this is over now."
Best known for her brief role on Showtime's aforementioned hit drama "Dexter," Pantaleon has also appeared on "Mystery E.R."
In 2003, Pantaleon was the second runner-up at the Miss Latina New York USA Pageant, according to the IMDB profile.
Her online profile also indicates that Pantaleon dropped out of her final semester at the Registered Nursing Program at New York City's College of Technology to pursue a career as an actress.
In addition to television series appearances, Pantaleon has appeared in 2007's "Choose Connor" and "The Gleam" earlier this year.
Showtime's "Dexter" stars Michael C. Hall as a police forensics expert in Miami who doubles as a serial killer. Hall has received several awards and nominations for his role as Dexter, including a Golden Globe.
The crime drama series also stars Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, C.S. Lee, and Lauren Velez, among others.
