Mac Os X Lion May Be Release in Early July
Apple's release of the gold master version of the OS X Lion to Mac developers before the official OS X Lion's launch is a healthy signal that we are just days before its release.
At least two unnamed sources have said it is either July 6 or July 14 when it will be officially launched.
The gold master version is just another name Apple calls its final draft or ready-to-launch products.
In Apple's annual WWDC this year, Steve Jobs ceded the mic to Apple VP, Phil Schiller, who showcased the top features provided in new OS X Lion, including a new set of multi-touch gestures, auto-saving, the launch pad and others( see 10 top features of OS X Lion).
It will be the first time an Apple operating system debuts at a staggering $29.99, and it will be available to purchase via Mac App Store only.
OS Leopard users pay the same price to get an upgrade and no matter how much hype there may be behind this product, there should technically be no camping out in endless lines as we've seen for previous Apple product releases due to the fact that the product will be downloaded through the Mac App Store's Wi-Fi service.
