2008 Model Being Pulled Out Despite High Demand
Apple has started pulling out from its stores the 13-inch MacBook Pro legacy launched in 2008 based from recent reports that studied product lists of the technology company.
A discovery by Apple Insider revealed that the non-Retina laptop are being removed from the shelves of Apple Stores since Monday. This move could lead to the total phaseout of the product.

Thought the gadget is still for sale with stocks available for customers, the MacBook Pro is not avaialble for display anymore in stores across the country. An employee at the Austin store said the pullout started last week with other shops also removing the product from their displays.
The phasing out the MacBook Pro was expected because the gadget's last update was four years ago, and it was still a non-Retina model. Meanwhile, Apple Store staff in San Diego had no idea why they were asked to remove the MacBook Pro from the shelves despite the high demand for it.
New Apple Laptops to be Released?
With this decision from Apple, CNet speculated that the company could be allocating space for upcoming laptops set to be released by the end of the year. The MacBook Pro 2016, which is one of the most awaited gadgets from Apple, may be introduced by the fourth quarter of the year.
It is rumored to come with a touchscreen panel included as part of its keyboard. Renders of the MacBook Pro 2016 revealed that the touchscreen option could be placed above the numbers row and could accommodate shortcut buttons for the laptop.
9to5Mac explained that these touchscreen buttons can be utilized to access applications installed on the laptop when one is not using the full screen mode. A tap of a button will instantly open an application.
The laptop is also expected to have a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, a feature which has been earlier introduced for iPhones, a USB Type-C port and Thunderbolt 3.0 compatible sockets.
Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 could be released in October, a month after the expected iPhone 7 release date. When it comes out of stores, the laptop could stick to the price range of the MacBook Pro which costs $1,099 for the basic model with no Retina feature while the 13-inch variant with Retina is set at $2,099.
