MacBook Pro 2016 Rumors: Device May Have March Unveiling

Apple is prepping for one of the biggest events this year, and with the rumored unveiling of several devices during the March 2016 big day, it is said that the tech giant may also give fans a closer look at the MacBook Pro 2016.

Multiple outlets suggest that it won't only be the iPhone 5se, iPad Air 3, and Apple Watch options that Apple will unveil; instead, it will also unveil the MacBook Pro for this year — a laptop rumored to be powered with Skylake chips.

While the 2015 MacBook featured a Haswell chip, it seems Apple is going for more ambitious heights with the upcoming MacBook Pro if it does come with a Skylake chip, which will help extend the laptop's battery life. Aside from longer battery life, the chipset is also said to be faster than other high-end chips around.

What's interesting is the report that compared to older chips in the market, Skylake has the ability to maintain its cool much better than the rest. This means users won't really need coolers and they don't necessarily need to worry about over-heating.

While Skylake's chip may not be a very big jump in terms of specs, it makes a huge difference for consumers who have been looking around for laptops that could regulate core temperatures when needed.

The upcoming MacBook Pro is speculated to be lighter than the MacBook Air, which could also mean that it will come with a thinner built. Unfortunately, a thinner body also suggests the eradication of some USB ports. Fans will have to say good-bye to some of their favorite and efficient ports in case Apple decides to push with a Pro that's lighter than air.

Other rumors suggest that the new MacBook lineup may come with higher pixels, which immediately points to the direction of OLED displays. This is good news for users who believe their devices deserve more than the usual 1080p displays. However, OLED comes with a hefty price. This means not all MacBook devices will get it.
