Apple fans are eagerly anticipating the latest version of the MacBook Pro. Many are in agreement that the MacBook Pro needs a high order revamp and that a 2016 version is much needed. Because of this, there have been rumors about the MacBook Pro 2016 its specs, features and release date over the past couple of months.
Fortunately, there have been news from the Cupertino-based company itself that may indicate the MacBook Pro 2016 will be introduced very soon. Apple has officially sent invitations to its October 27 event. Although many people already know that the event will most likely occur, this time it's truly official.

Apple, like always, didn't reveal what the agenda for the event is, but the invitations offered clues that point to a MacBook Pro 2016. For example, the title of the event is "hello again," which, theoretically, could mean we're going to see the MacBook Pro again, which hasn't received any key update for the longest time.
New Features: OLED Display Panel
If rumors and reports are true, then one of the most anticipated features of the MacBook Pro 2016 is the OLED display panel which can be found above the keyboard. This doesn't mean that the keyboard size will be expanded due to another panel; rather, the OLED panel will replace where the function keys used to be.
There have been leaked photos, such as the ones found here, that show this OLED display panel may be more than just a rumor. In a couple of these photos, one can see that there is an empty space where the function keys are located in a standard keyboard.
The OLED display panel is said to offer various types of functions depending on what app is running. For example, if your MacBook Pro 2016 is running Spotify, then the play, back and forward symbols along with the volume bar may appear on the panel.
Another leak shows code that indicates the shortcuts that appear in the OLED display panel can be customized by the users.
Specs: Butterfly Mechanism Keyboard
Other reports indicate that the new MacBook Pro will be much thinner than the previous version. It will also have a bigger trackpad. It will also have a butterfly mechanism-based keyboard. This butterfly mechanism isn't new to Apple keyboards; in fact, it was introduced in the 12-inch version of the MacBook.
The MacBook Pro 2016 is also rumored to have USB-C ports, Thunderbolt 3 ports, and much improved performance and speed. The speed and performance upgrades are due to the addition of Intel Skylake processors, AMD Polaris and many more.
Previous rumors indicate that the MacBook Pro 2016 will no longer have the headphone jack. But there are leaked images that show that this is not the case; perhaps this is good news to many Apple MacBook users.
