MacBook Pro 2017 News: Apple Planning to 'Do More' With New Laptop and Other Pro Devices
Updated MacBook Pro expected to be launched later this year
The 2016 edition of the MacBook Pro was met with a somewhat mixed reaction by consumers. And for those who may have felt unsatisfied by that offering, there seems to be some hope looming over the horizon, as this year's version of the laptop may provide some much needed improvements.
Speaking during a recent shareholders meeting, Apple CEO Tim Cook hinted at what they have in store for some of their upcoming devices.
Cook mentioned during the meeting that he and the other folks over at Apple are still planning to "do more" in the pro area, MacRumors reported.

Unfortunately, that was essentially the most significant revelation that came from Cook with regards to future plans for new products. But still, there's some potentially good news in there for those hoping that Apple may come out with a better MacBook Pro sometime soon.
While Cook did not reveal exactly what improvements they have planned for this new laptop, there were rumors that came out earlier this year that could be pointing to how this particular device will improve, at least for 2017.
KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted which specific improvements could be seen in the new laptop in an earlier investor note.
AppleInsider was able to obtain a copy of the investor note, and in it, Kuo predicted that spec upgrades for the new laptop may be coming.
Specifically, Kuo noted that Intel's line of Kaby Lake processors could finally be featured by the next-gen MacBook Pros. RAM configurations may be hiked up as well, and that would serve to give users more space to work with.
It's unclear if these potential spec improvements were what Cook was referring to at the shareholders meeting, though there's a good chance that Apple fans will still welcome these rumored MacBook Pro improvements with open arms.
