Elizabeth, Henry, Nadine, Daisy, Matt and Blake head off to Venezuelan with Manny, a handsome baseball player in tow. They think that having him along will get the Venezuelan president to warm up to them, and while Elizabeth visits the president and his wife, Nadine goes to the bank to check Marsh's account.

Nadine goes to the bank, and later she tells Elizabeth the account had $40 million the week before his death but now it's empty. She said that someone using the alias Marie Porter withdrew the money the day after he died.

At a televised event, Elizabeth introduces Manny and says that he's a special representative. Manny takes to the podium and says that he's a proud son of a Venezuelan mother and US father. He says he represents the US and is thankful, and he also admits that he's gay. President Suarez walks out, and later he says that he wants Manny to recant his statement. Then, he says that there's a police chief there with footage of Nadine at the bank.

Elizabeth tells Suarez that Nadine was there to gather evidence for a US investigation. Meanwhile, it was revealed that the Venezuelans still admire Manny, and Suarez's anger dissipates.

Back in the US, Russell asks Elizabeth what happened abroad. After a brief confrontation, Elizabeth decides to tell him everything.

"Madam Secretary" will be on hiatus and will be back on Jan. 4, 2014 at 8/7c on CBS.
