'Madam Secretary' Season 4 Episode 6 Spoilers: Stevie Seeks Comfort from Elizabeth After Breakup

Stevie (Wallis Currie) will continue to hurt from her break up with Jareth (Christopher O'Shea) in the upcoming episode of "Madam Secretary."

In the episode titled "Loophole," the synopsis reveals that Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) will try to shower her daughter with love after Stevie and her boyfriend decided to part ways. It took her two days before she revealed the truth to her parents, and Elizabeth is worried that her kid is blaming herself for the separation. She will have to show Stevie that the entire family is there to support her no matter what.

Meanwhile, work will continue to test Elizabeth's mettle. This time around, the main problem will be instigated by her husband Henry (Tim Daly). When an American CIA agent is captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan, Henry will immediately rally for her release. He will approach Elizabeth and President Dalton (Keith Carradine), entreating them to save the woman. The agent looks pitiful in a video released shortly after her abduction.

Henry will soon find out, though, that Dalton is not agreeable to the idea. According to the president, they have never reached out to terrorists and have no intention of doing so in the future. This puts Elizabeth in an uncompromising situation. Viewers will see how she deals with an irate husband intent on making her see sense. In the promo, Henry emphasizes that they cannot just let an innocent American die in a foreign land without sending help.

Last episode, Elizabeth had another tough case involving an annoying ambassador to the U.S. Her efforts in holding a conference on human trafficking in Kyrgyzstan were almost wasted because of an urgent issue with the diplomat. Viewers also saw Jay (Sebastian Arcelus) being promoted as the new Chief of Staff, the position that Nadine (Bebe Neuwirth) left when she resigned.

"Madam Secretary" season 4 airs Sundays, at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
