'Madden NFL 17' News: End of Season Roster Update Released, Find Out Which Players Have Highest Ratings

Latest 'Madden NFL 17' roster update also takes away player injuries

Another NFL season is in the books, and while the New England Patriots and their supporters celebrate their new title, football fans can still continue engaging in some virtual gridiron action, especially now that the final roster update has been released.

Four players ended up finishing with an overall rating of 99 inside the game, and interestingly enough, three of the four had their seasons cut short by injuries. Luke Kuechly of the Carolina Panthers, Rob Gronkowski of the Patriots and J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans all missed significant time due to injury this season.

The only member of the 99 club who ended up completing the season was Von Miller of the Denver Broncos.

Just a notch down from those players who managed to secure the 99 overall mark are three young stars who may get even better in the years to come.

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald and Khalil Mack of the Oakland Raiders disrupted offenses routinely on their way to securing similar overall marks of 98 inside the game. On the offensive side of the ball, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones continued his rise this season, and he even ended up as the top-rated pass-catcher in "Madden NFL 17," according to the updated player ratings posted on the game's official website.

Other notable takeaways from the final roster update include Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers narrowly edging out Tom Brady of the Patriots as the highest-rated quarterback in the game, while Le'Veon Bell received the top marks among the running backs.

One more thing, since this is the last roster update for the season, all the players on all the teams are now injury-free as well, according to a recent report from Operation Sports.

With all teams inside "Madden NFL 17" now featuring fully healthy rosters, players can now enjoy more games with all the stars present and accounted for.
