Madden NFL 25 Next-Gen Trailer Shows 'Living Worlds' That Create Realistic Environments and Crowds (VIDEO)
The new Madden NFL 25 trailer was revealed by EA a few days ago, and the next-gen footage shows off crisp gameplay, new animations, and realistic crowds.
In the trailer the game's developers talk about the game and the undertaking of making the most graphically realistic football game ever in what they call, "Living Worlds."
The first gameplay footage for Madden NFL 25 was released around two weeks, and it showcases the new "True Step" feature in the game.
"True Step is the all-new, step-based locomotion system which calculates the steps ball carriers take on the field. The old-school running cycle has been replaced by a system constantly evaluates weight momentum and desired direction with 4x the precision. This allows steps to be selected from hundreds of new running animations on the fly. This creates an innovative new locomotion system that replicates decisions NFL players make on the field," the YouTube description reads.
The game was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in late August just before the start of football season. The game will arrive for the PS4 on Nov. 15 and the Xbox One on Nov. 22.
"The strong start for Madden NFL 25 on current generation consoles is a testament to the power of this amazing franchise and its fans," Andrew Wilson, Executive Vice President of EA Sports, told Yahoo. "It's a big year for our fans as we launch Madden NFL 25 for two different hardware generations, and we're pleased with the early results for the Xbox 360 and PS3. We're confident we can sustain this momentum as we move towards the launch of next generation consoles this Fall with the most innovative Madden NFL yet."
For the first time in the franchise's history, the game will not have the year attached to the game, for example, Madden 2014. This year the game will be called Madden 25, in honor of the game's 25th year of existence with the first Madden game coming out in 1989.
"The Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition was the best-selling sports game preorder in Amazon.com history," said John Love, Director of Video Games for Amazon reports Yahoo. "Our customers have responded and we have certainly seen a significant growth in Madden NFL sales this year versus last year."
EA Sports improved the graphics, running controls, real-time physics, and created more reactive environments.
