Madonna Face Plant Skiing in Switzerland; Photo Goes Viral
A Madonna "face plant" photo has gone viral, showing the pop star suffering the mishap as she was skiing in Europe recently over the Christmas holiday period.
The pop singer was spending the New Year period with her 25-year-old boyfriend Brahim Zaibat as well as her children Lourdes and Mercy in the resort town of Gstaad, Switzerland, when the incident occurred.
The 54 year old pop singer seemed to have trouble on the ski trail despite it being mostly flat, and fell over a number of times as Zaibat and the two children looked on watching, according to the New York Daily News.
In one of the falls, Madonna fell flat on her face with her legs laid out, looking clearly tired after the exhausting expedition. The fall was caught by photographers as she fell into the snow.
Madonna previous was in the news when she fell on stage in October, during her MDNA tour. She fell as she performed in Dallas on the worldwide tour. However, she was able to turn the fall into part of her routine, and she kicked up her legs and rolled onto her back, continuing singing as it all took place.
There was less grace in the way she fell in the snow more recently, however, and with her legs tired she just fell into the soft snow in what has been labeled a "face plant."
Madonna was also in the news recently as she lashed out at her fans in Chile after cigarette smoke from the crowd bothered her. During a sound check in Santiago, Chile on Wednesday, the 54-year-old singer scorned a group of onlookers who were smoking.
"There are people smoking right now," said Madonna in a video posted online, available on TMZ. "If you love me, then don't smoke. No smoking!"
Growing angrier, the "Material Girl" singer then continued to berate the fans. "If you're going to smoke cigarettes, I'm not doing a show," said Madonna. "You don't care about me? I don't care about you. All right? Are we going to play that game? I'm not kidding. I can't sing if you smoke."
The world famous singer then asked if the group understood using the Spanish phrase, "Entiendes."
Madonna's fury did not stop there though, and the singer complained: "You're looking right at me and smoking cigarettes, like I'm a stupid [expletive] idiot," said the "Queen of Pop."
Subsequently, the smokers did put out their cigarettes and Madonna continued her work.
