Madonna Twitter Chat Announced for Tonight (VIDEO)

To promote her new album "MDNA," Madonna has opted out of magazine covers and morning show concerts, instead opting to do an interview with Jimmy Fallon and her very first Twitter Q&A.

Madonna, 53, has decided to take a less conventional route to promote her new album. Last week she released the new video for her single "Girl Gone Wild" on YouTube, which gathered many positive reviews. According to Yahoo news, many Twitter users considered the video top-notch.

"Easily the best video Madonna's done for years," the news site reported.

The pop star has also only agreed to do one in person interview with Jimmy Fallon. The interview will be broadcast exclusively through Madonna's Facebook on Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported. Following the Facebook broadcast a live Twitter chat with Madonna will begin at 10 p.m.

"Madonna is launching her new album on Facebook because it allows for effective word-of-mouth on a massive scale," Justin Osofsky, Facebook's director of platform partnerships, told WSJ.

The official announcement for the interview and chat was made through Madonna's Facebook. "Madonna joins Twitter for one day only to answer fan questions and celebrate the release of her MDNA album. Got a question? #AskMadonna," her site stated.

The pop star currently has no public Twitter account. Her new album launch through Facebook and Twitter will be an attempt to increase her social media presence. Fans looking to view the star's interview with Fallon will have to like Madonna on Facebook first. So far Madonna has 8,382,580 likes.

Of course, Madonna has left the more technical side of things to her manager, Guy Oseary.

"It could all go wrong but she is willing to let me really run with it. She's up for trying," he told WSJ. "She's not a tech head but she understands that this is a great way to exchange info with her fans without anyone in the middle."
