Madonna's Daughter Lourdes is A 'Background Singer' on MDNA Album
Madonna recently revealed that her teenage daughter Lourdes Leon is a background singer on her new MDNA album.
The 53-year-old "Give Me All Your Luvin'" singer recently spoke about her daughter's unexpected involvement on MDNA.
"She's my background singer. She just came over to the studio that day. Then I said, 'Oh, can you sing this part?' and she agreed to. She has a very good voice. She's quite shy about it and won't admit it," Madonna told The Sun U.K.

At just 15, Lourdes, affectionately nicknamed "Lola," is the co-founder of her very own clothing line, Material Girl clothing, but Madonna explained that she wants her daughter to focus on school and avoid getting carried away with the Hollywood lifestyle.
"Lots of people are knocking on my door to meet [Lourdes] about everything, movies and what-not. But she's not really interested in any of it," Madonna revealed. "She just wants to go to school. She says to me, 'Mum, I just want to be a normal kid. I'm not ready for any of that.' I respect that, and if she ever wants to work with me on any level I welcome it. But otherwise I leave her to her homework and school."
MDNA is due to be released on March 26, 2012 but has already received mixed reviews and criticisms.
Although some critics accused the mother of four of glamorizing the drug MDMA- a chemical used in the illegal Class A drug Ecstasy- when naming her latest album, Madonna denies doing so.
"[MDNA is] an anagram of my name. I don't really think about controversy- I think about irony," the singer said.
The new album contains twelve new tracks and features renowned New York rapper Nicki Minaj.
The Guardian U.K. told listeners to "get ready for terrible French accents, amazing pop raves and heartfelt ballads," in a candid review of MDNA.
"MDNA is a collection of thoroughly pumping pop tunes, some of which are slices of sheer brilliance. Not only does Madonna take us to the club she exhausts us, drains us, and confides in us," one Billboard.com reviewer wrote.
