'Major Crimes' Season 5 Episode 17 Spoilers: Morales Deals With Daddy Problems
Dr. Morales' (Jonathan Del Arco) father is coming to Los Angeles to see him in the upcoming episode of "Major Crimes."
In the episode titled "Dead Drop," the synopsis (according to TV Guide) reveals that Morales' father, a retired Uruguayan detective, will be visiting him at work. Because he wants his dad to know that he thoroughly likes his job, Morales will go a little overboard in his actions. His co-workers will have a difficult time holding back their smiles when he starts acting like he plays a much larger role in the team. He will try to hang around longer than he should at the crime scene the unit will be working on.
Series creator James Duff recently discussed the said storyline in a recent interview.
"There's a really fun episode where we find a body up a tree and Dr. Morales appears with his father, a retired detective who's visiting from South America, who pretends that he is much more connected to Major Crimes than he actually is, and hangs on through the whole episode. I think that's a fun episode. If you like Dr. Morales, you're going to enjoy it," the EP told Parade.
Meanwhile, the case Sharon (Mary McDonnell) and her team will be handling is unlike anything they have encountered before. A body will be discovered hanging 40 feet up in a tree. The set-up stupefies the agents. There must be a sound explanation for the weird crime scene and they are determined to find out what happened.
Morales' father will be there, observing how the unit works. Perhaps he can contribute something in the investigation. He is a retired cop, after all. Along the way, will he discover that his son has been lying to him about his job?
"Major Crimes" season 5 episode 17 will air Wednesday, March 15, at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
