'Major Crimes' Season 5 Episode 18 Spoilers: Rusty Reunites with Adoptive Brother Ricky
Ricky (Ryan Kennedy), Sharon's (Mary McDonnell) other son, will be in town in the upcoming episode of "Major Crimes."
In the episode titled "Bad Blood," the synopsis (according to Cartermatt) reveals that Ricky will come home to surprise his mother. The character was first introduced in season 3, when he helped the Major Crimes unit solve a case involving the murder of a tech entrepreneur. Ricky is a Stanford graduate, a software engineer and an accomplished hacker. Sharon previously made use of his talents when the squad hit a snag during that difficult investigation.
When Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) was in the process of being adopted by Sharon, Ricky was very much against it. He was cold towards the younger man, putting Rusty in a difficult situation. When the two got to talk, though, Ricky started to open up and accept him as a brother. It will be interesting to see how their dynamics have changed over the years.
Rusty has changed a lot. He is also openly dating Gustavo (Rene Rosado). Will Ricky have no problem with his adoptive brother's lifestyle? He certainly gave viewers the idea that he was a bit old-fashioned.
Meanwhile, the unit's new case will be about the murder of a retired LAPD fraud detective. Sharon believes his death has a connection to an arrest she made many years ago. Perhaps Ricky will once again help her in solving this new investigation.
Last episode, Dr. Morales' (Jonathan Del Arco) father, a retired detective from Uruguay, arrived to visit his son. The squad was then busy solving an enigma. A body was found 40 feet up in a tree. Morales got to show off his skills a bit. His co-workers let him do it. It was not everyday his old man was in town.
"Major Crimes" season 5 episode 18 will air Wednesday, March 22, at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
