MLB World Series 2015 Preview, Start Time, Live Stream: Kansas City Royals vs New York Mets Series
The final two teams remain in the MLB.
Only two teams remain to battle for the label as champion in the 2015 World Series in Major League Baseball.
The Kansas City Royals and the New York Mets will battle it out in a best-of-seven series to determine who the best is this season.
Both teams had great regular seasons as they both posted at least 90 wins, solidifying their place in the World Series.
The Royals finished the regular season at the top of the Central Division of the American League, beating out teams like the Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers.
They also had the best record in the entire American League, and were only behind the St. Louis Cardinals as the best record in the entire MLB.
Kansas City are excellent both at home and on the road, winning 51 games as hosts in the regular season, and 44 when playing away from their own field.
In the postseason, the Royals first faced the AL Wild Card team Houston Astros in the Division series and beat them 3-2 to face the Toronto Blue Jays in the Championship Series.
From there, they were taken six games by the Blue Jays but the Royals eventually took the series 4-2 with a win at home to book their place in the World Series.
On the other hand, the Mets topped the National League – East with a 90-72 record, and were only one of five teams to post 90 wins or more in the regular season.
They won 49 games at home and had a decent record of 41-40 when playing as guests in the regular season.
In the Division Series, the Mets battled the Los Angeles Dodgers and won the series 3-2 to move on to the next round. Next up were the Chicago Cubs and the Nets swept the Cubs 4-0 and are now only four wins away from lifting the title.
The last time the two teams met was back in 2013 and have only battled nine times since the 2000s.
