Malin Akerman, Roberto Zincone to Divorce?
Actress Malin Akerman and her husband Roberto Zincone are headed for a divorce, according to reports on Monday.
The "Trophy Wife" star married her drummer husband six years ago and the couple just welcomed their first child in April.
Because of their son Sebastian, Akerman and Zincone remain "amicable" despite their decision to part ways.
"It's as amicable as can be, and they want to do what's best for their son," a source close to the pair, told Us Weekly. "No one has plans to file yet. Honestly, Malin is not even ready to discuss it. It's a very sad time for her."
It is believed that Akerman and her husband dated for many years before tying the knot, and in the past, the actress gushed about her relationship with Zincone.
"We've never had one single fight," she told Mail Online. "We've always talked things out."
Meanwhile, Akerman stars as Kate, a woman newly married to a twice-divorced older man with three children on ABC's comedy "Trophy Wife." The actress stars alongside Bradley Whitford, Marcia Gay Harden and Michaela Watkins.
Ahead of the television series premiere, Akerman assured viewers that the show is not what they are expecting based on the title.
"From an outsider's point of view, people go, 'Oh, younger, cute woman with an older man, of course she's a trophy wife,'" the actress explained to the Associated Press. "But we learn that Kate is really this lovely woman who is in it for the right reasons. Loves the kids, loves her husband, but just isn't really good at it yet."
The Swedish-Canadian starlet went on to explain her busy schedule, possibly offering a hint at trouble within her marriage.
"To be honest with you, I'd been doing film for a while, which I love, but I got to a certain point where there was one year where I was home maybe three months out of the whole year and I was like, 'You know what? I would love to just be home, be with my husband, be with my friends and just kind of have more of a regular schedule," said the actress.
