Man, 101, Robbed for 2nd Time in Six Months
A Georgia man who is 101-years-old has been robbed for the second time in three months in an attack that has shocked the local community.
Police are now asking the public for help in their investigations as they try to catch the ruthless criminal.
The second and most recent incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning at Edward Vaughn’s Savannah home. Police officers were called to his home at about 2.45 a.m. after Vaughn was robbed again, according to the Savannah Morning News.
In a terrifying and merciless attack an intruder broke into Vaughn’s home and entered the 101-year-old’s home whilst he was sleeping. The robber woke him and demanded he hand give him his wallet.
Although Vaughn was not physically hurt in the latest attack, the psychological scar such an attack can have on such a senior citizen is still a major concern.
In an earlier attack on Vaughn in August, the elderly man was left with a minor abrasion. He was attacked that time as he walked to his home after a bus journey. Police have still not caught those responsible for that earlier attack, and are now searching for another attacker, although it is unclear whether the attacks are related.
