A man has been arrested and charged for the murder of Leiby Kletzky, the missing 8-year-old boy whose remains were found early Wednesday following a two day search in Brooklyn, New York.
The murder has shocked the nation, and reports have come through Thursday afternoon that a 35-year-old man, Levi Aron, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection to the horrific incident.
“It’s heart breaking,” Police Commissioner Ray Kelley said referring to the gruesome murder.
CBS 2 reports that Aron told police he took the victim to a wedding upstate in Monsey. Aron tells police that the wedding ran late and he brought Kletzky back to his apartment Monday night with intent of returning him to his parents the next day.
According to CBS 2, police have obtained numerous surveillance videos that help decipher the timeline of the tragedy.
In one video police report Aron baiting the boy off the street and into his car Monday evening.
Eight year-old Leiby Kletzky’s dismembered body was found in a freezer in Aron’s apartment while other remains of the boy were found in a suitcase tossed in a dumpster a few miles away.
