Man Marries Dead Girlfriend in Unusual Ceremony (VIDEO)
Distraught TV producer Chadil Deffy, recently married his dead girlfriend in Surin, Thailand after she was unexpectedly killed on Jan 3.
Sarinya "Anne" Kamsook, Deffy's 29-year-old deceased girlfriend, had met Deffy at Eastern Asia university and the pair reportedly had a 10-year relationship before she died suddenly in a car accident, according to Pattaya Daily News.
Deffy, who has over 50,000 Facebook subscribers, expressed his regret in not marrying Anne while she was still alive.
"In your eyes, our action might seem as a great love ... But for us, it is the mistake which we could not go back in time to correct. Remember, life is short," a grieving Deffy posted on his Facebook page.
It is believed that Deffy could not accept the couple's previous decision to delay getting married for study purposes, ultimately branding it a "mistake," and proceeding to marry a dead Anne anyway.
Video footage of the unusual event was posted on social networking site YoutTube and immediately went viral.
It shows a grief stricken Deffy, also known as Deff Yingyuen, seated beside Anne's lifeless body before placing a wedding ring on her finger.
"Do what you desire, and take good care of the people you love, be they your parents, your siblings. You might never get that chance again," Deffy wrote.
Critics have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts about the tragic ceremony.
"This is kind of disturbing... This is somewhat sad in a twisted, demented way..." one user known as Tavia Mae Bradshaw tweeted.
*Some critics expressed confusion: "So what do you do then...omit the 'till death do us part' bit??" Mich - E Williams tweeted.
Many of Deffy's Facebook subscribers have left tributes on his wall, describing his desire to marry his dead girlfriend as loving and sweet, although some skeptics cannot seem to decide.
"Cant decide if this is too creepy for words or romantic," Edina Dizdarevic candidly tweeted.
