'Man of Steel 2' News: George Miller as the Director?
There are reports stating the upcoming film "Man of Steel 2" will be directed by the director of hit movie "Mad Max: Fury Road," George Miller. With that, fans are expecting that the upcoming movie will have striking visual effects and cinematography.
According to Digital Spy, Miller denied the rumors of his involvement in "Man of Steel 2." He addressed the rumors surrounding the film, explaining that he did have a discussion with the Warner Bros. on him potentially directing the movie. However, he did explain that there is a very little chance that he will be taking on the project.
He explained, "I hope the next film I make is a very small film without any special effects and not many stunts."
It was revealed that he is hoping that his next project will be easier than the load from "Man of Steel," since he had spent many years developing the movie "Fury Road." It was reported that he had faced many challenges during the film.
Miller had worked on films with less action and visual effects in the past, such as "The Witches of Eastwick," "Lorenzo's Oil," "Babe: Pig in the City," and "Happy Feet." With that, he is expected to go back to his usual type films, after many years of working on "Fury Road."
However, his talent and ability to bring a story just from visual emotions and actions made him the ideal director for the "Man of Steel" sequel. He is a strong choice for the project since other action filmmakers, such as Zack Synder, Patty Jenkins, Ben Affleck, and James Wan, are already involved in several superhero movies.
Meanwhile, there has not yet been any announcement regarding the film's release date, as well as casting.
