Man Sues Parents for $200,000, Claims Parents Didn't Love Him Enough
A New York man has filed a unique lawsuit against his family alleging that he was not loved enough as a child. He is currently seeking $200,000 in damages as well as two Domino's Pizza restaurants.
"If you have kids, you're expected to love your children. You want the best for your children. I feel like my parents should want the best for their children and grandchildren so we have something to pass down for generations so we don't have to live like this," Bernard Bey told NBC 4 New York.
The 33-year-old wants the restaurants to be able to pass down to his future children. He also claimed he was abused and neglected by his parents. Bey has said he thinks his parents should be willing to take out mortgages on their homes in order to afford the restaurants.

Unfortunately, Bey's parents are not able to meet his demands. They currently live in public housing and are on a very limited budget. Yet Bey has another option to settle the dispute: a family dinner.
"Let's work together, and definitely, I'll drop the suit," Bey said.
"I live in the projects. You want to sue me? What's next, you coming to shoot up my door? He's 32 years old. That speaks for itself. Welcome to America. Everyone in America has the same opportunity," Bey's mother, Vickie Anderson, told The New York Post. "Don't blame the parents at this point. The choice is yours. You're an adult."
"Our whole family is really poor, and my father doesn't care about the situation. I feel unloved and abandoned," Bey told The Post.
Yet his sister, who chose to remain anonymous, defended their parents.
"I'm not on public assistance," she asserted. "My parents were not terrible. They did the best they could. He chose the life he's leading now."
Bey wrote the suit by himself and filed it in the New York City court system. So far, no hearing or date has been set for him to appear before a judge.
